Vika lived near a small village on the banks of the desert Dys. For centuries, she had survived feasting on travelers while living in seclusion within the vast expanse of sand. Her home, an oasis nestled amidst the dunes and rocky outcroppings, was a small but lush paradise that had sustained her through the ages.
Despite her desire to walk amongst the people of a nearby village, Vika had a deep hunger that could only be satisfied by fresh blood. So when she heard the faint sound of a baby crying one night, she couldn’t resist the temptation. Following the sound, she came upon a small cottage, where she found a young couple struggling to care for their newborn daughter.
Without hesitation, Vika stepped forward and offered to help. She knew that the couple would be terrified if they saw her in all her vampiric glory, so she used her powers to transform herself into a human, with skin as pale as moonlight and eyes that shone like stars. The couple was grateful for Vika’s help and welcomed her into their home.
But as the night wore on, Vika’s hunger grew stronger and stronger. She could feel the baby’s life force calling to her, and she knew that she would not be able to resist for much longer. So when the baby was fast asleep, Vika leaned in close, her fangs bared and ready to strike.
As Vika prepared to sink her teeth into the soft, plump skin of the newborn, her gaze met the baby’s bright blue eyes, as deep and vast as the ocean itself. The child’s innocent stare was a stark contrast to Vika’s own dark desires, and she couldn’t bring herself to harm the helpless newborn. With a heavy heart, Vika turned and fled into the night, determined to never let her hunger for blood control her again.
From that day on, Vika lived a solitary life, struggling to overcome her primal urges and finding solace in knowing she had made the right choice, although she knew that she could never truly escape her nature.
